Constitution Day - Thursday, September 17, 2015

Today is Constitution Day and on this day of celebration we are required by law and patriotic duty to spend our social studies period on a lesson over the Constitution.  Today's lesson will becoming from the Center for Civic Education as well as deal with Current Events.  Your job is to read the information that is found on the site at the link below and then answer the questions at the end of the Sections entitled "What makes a good leader? and Evaluating Characteristics of a well qualified President"  When you have completed those 4 questions I would like you to conduct an extension of this that we will be examining many times this semester/ year.

Application of lesson in the Real World

Last night the 2nd republican presidential debate took place, your assignment is to research the candidates and then write a half page defense of the one that you think is best suited for the Job of President of the US and then a half page criticism of the one that you see is the least suited for the Job.  Use the information that you learned in today's lesson as the main arguments in these essays.  If you want to put in personal feelings that is fine as well but try to defend them factually.
