Findlay Rotary Club

The Findlay Rotary Club is currently seeking local families interested in hosting an international exchange student for the 2017-2018 school year, as well as area high school students ages 15-18 interested in going on an International Youth Exchange for the 2017-2018 School Year.  Scholarship opportunities are available for outbound students interested in going on Exchange.

This unique educational and cultural experience has been supported by Rotary International for over 60 years. The relationships you can form through Youth Exchange will be ones that will last a lifetime!

Canvas Painting: Winter Water Wonders

Register with $30 per person by 12:30 PM on Tuesday, January 17

A canvas painting class will be held at Riverbend Recreation Area’s Brugeman Lodge on Wednesday, January 20 from 6-8 PM. Awakening Minds Art will provide step by step instructions on how to paint a winter water scene on canvas. All necessary supplies needed to create your artwork on an 11” x 14” stretched canvas will be provided. Light refreshments will be served.

Participants are required to be ages 16 and up. Register with $30 per person by 12:30 PM on Tuesday, January 17. There is a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 30 participants for the class.

8th Annual Mother Nature Tea: Winter Waits

Register with $4 per person by 4:30 PM on Thursday, January 19

 

     The Hancock Park District will be hosting its 8th Annual Mother Nature Tea on Monday, January 23 at Riverbend Recreation Area’s Brugeman Lodge. Tea times are 9:30 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 2:30 PM, and 4:00 PM.    

    Children will meet the enchanting Mother Nature character portrayed by Chris Allen, who will be reading a story about her son, Winter. After the story, children will be able to enjoy tea and a winter snack with Mother Nature’s helpful fairies of winter. After tea is served there will be activities and a craft for children to enjoy.

    Children are required to be ages 4-6 with an adult companion and no other aged siblings can attend. One adult is required for every two children.  Register with $4 per person by 4:30 PM on Thursday, January 19. A minimum of 6 and maximum of 30 will be required to hold the tea.
